White Pigeon Agency, Inc. has served Wilton and the surrounding communities since 1976.
White Pigeon Agency has a history spanning over a century. White Pigeon Agency is an entity of American Mutual, formerly White Pigeon Mutual, who has had an in-office agency in Wilton since the early 1900’s.
Maurer’s Agency was run by John Maurer until his son Leo took over in 1942. John then worked for White Pigeon Mutual from 1942 until 1958 and Leo followed in his footsteps, taking over White Pigeon Mutual in 1958. Leo continued Maurer’s Agency until 1976, when White Pigeon Mutual took ownership and changed its name to White Pigeon Agency.
In 2025 White Pigeon Mutual merged and is now American Mutual with offices in Wilton and Grand Mound. White Pigeon Agency and American Mutual look forward to continuing the tradition of provided local service with the motto “Neighbors Helping Neighbors.”
